Our new club website is now live.

The site is part of a Croquet Association project to provide websites to clubs around the country, and ours was one of the pilot clubs involved in testing the new system.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the Ramsgate Croquet Club was held on Saturday 24^th November 2018, at the Comfort Inn, Ramsgate. 

The new club officers are –

Treasurer ……………….   Roger Loram

And the new committee members are –

Charlie Martin, Clare Hesledine, Julie Goulding, Chris Goulding, Leslie Sparks, Lynn Beadie, Jane Young and Don Humphries

 

 

The following events will be held over the winter period –

Christmas Cheer

Tuesday  18th December 2018 at 11.00am Ramsgate Bowls Club – organisers Pam Stead, Heather Richardson & Lucy Brown

10 pin Bowling

Thursday 17th January 2019 at 11.00am at Bugsy’s Tenpin Bowling, Ethelbert Cres, Margate CT9 2DY –  organiser Jane Young.

 Annual Club Lunch

Tuesday  5th February 2019, at The Yarrow Hotel, Broadstairs,

3 courses including tea/coffee and gratuity, £18.00pp, partners welcome. Menu choice to be circulated and cheques made out to Ramsgate Croquet Club – organiser Meg Bowyer.

Trevor Longman won the Hurlingham “One-Ball” tournament on 28th November.

This is an annual competition which attracted players from as far as Durham and Nottingham, plus many from the home counties.

Trevor faced tough opposition, including Alain Gerard (-2) in the knockout and Mark Ormerod (-1.5) in the final, winning both of these matches 2 games to nil.

Congratulations on a good day’s croquet.

Ramsgate have won the 2018 SECF “U League”, which is the Association Croquet Handicap (Unlimited) League.
